In-Kind Gifts
Gifts of personal property such as technology, equipment, furniture and other items relevant to the needs of the station and in good condition are welcome. The acceptance of in-kind gifts is determined on a case by case basis. The donor, through appraisal or record of purchase, determines the gift value. With certain items, it is important that you transfer the ownership of these assets to Holy Family Radio instead of selling them and donating the proceeds of the sale to avoid capital gains taxes. Planned Giving
Planned gifts are those that are made today to be received in the future. They are very similar to financial investments. Among them are life insurance, appreciated stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, wills and bequests. More often than not, planned gifts result in very specific tax benefits to the donor during his or her lifetime and may result in the ability to make a more significant gift than might have otherwise been possible.
