The Weis Family
J.T. and Christine Weis reside in East Grand Rapids, Michigan and have four daughters Caroline (20), Madeline (18), Kathleen (16) and Pauline (14). Their marriage of 24 years has had them reside in Chicago, Illinois; Paris, France; Birmingham, Alabama and Grand Rapids, Michigan. They are members of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and members of St. Thomas the Apostle.
Caroline is a sophomore English/Theology major attending Benedictine College in Atchison, KS, while Madeline attends Grand Rapids Christian High School, Kathleen and Pauline attend Sacred Heart Academy. The daughters have been on mission trips for Regnum Christi (Central America), Sisters of Servidoras, (Albania), St. Thomas the Apostle (multiple locations), Sacred Heart Academy (Mississippi) and Grand Rapids Christian (Dominican Republic). The daughters are involved in Regnum Christi, Life Teen and March for Life and several other church youth activities.
J.T. has served on various company Boards and numerous church councils. He is currently Board President of Sacred Heart Academy. He is also very active with the lay Catholic mens group Arise. He is passionate on the subject of restorative justice and companies hiring convicted felons. Christine is involved with Regnum Christi Encounter, along with numerous church and school activities. Both are also active members of the Saint Benedict Institute and Authenticum.
The Weis family owns Abcor Industries of Holland, Michigan. Abcor is focused on the technology for powder coating wood, which is a disruptive technology in the wood and furniture markets. Abcor deploys a triple bottom line system of people, planet, profit and was named a top 50 company to watch in the state of Michigan in 2016. Abcor hires re-entering citizens (convicted felons) is an active partner with the 70×7 non-profit organization that is a leading bridge entity for re-entering citizens.
