National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

Mon, 11/16

Catholic Charities Diocese of Kalamazoo has several ways you can get involved during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (Nov. 16-21).
November 18th -- 4th Annual CharitiesDine!
Plan to eat out at any of the partner restaurants anytime during the day and they will donate 25% of proceeds directly to CCDOK.  Click here to learn more.

November 16th-21st -- Harding's Drive for Ark Services for Youth
Visit any of the participating Harding's stores (Richland, Oshtemo, Galesburg, Portage and Kalamazoo locations) to drop off items for the "Welcome Home" program. These supplies are given directly to homeless youth when they move off the streets and into CCDOK transitional housing units. Household items, cleaning supplies, and non-perishable food are greatly appreciated!

November 19th -- WMU Drive for Ark Services
Drop off your donation for Ark Services for Youth at the WMU flagpoles (between Sangren Hall and Lee Honors College on campus).  The Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity will be collecting canned goods and small household items for homeless youth.

November 22nd -- The first annual PIKEsgiving lunch at the Fetzer Center
WMU's Western Student Association and Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity are hosting a luncheon with all proceeds supporting Catholic Charities' services.  The thanksgiving-themed luncheon will also feature a silent auction and speakers from The Ark Services for Youth will be there.  Tickets are $15 for students and $25 for all others and may be purchased at the door or by contacting Kurt Kersjes at (231) 741-1578.
